In 2021, the staff at Bethany Church decided to start developing a training system for leaders of adult small group communities to help equip them to lead their groups. Part of that training was reading a book called "Side by Side" but that was to be accompanied by several training videos released throughout the year at regular intervals.
My role in this was to film the trainings with the coaches, help guide them on good practices to help make an engaging video, edit, and release the along with a few guided questions to help with retention. Keeping the videos at an appropriate length, adding motion text elements, and using multiple camera shots to help give easy edit points helped the video stay engaging.
